Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Golf Course Designer. This role involves transforming conceptual ideas into detailed and visually compelling designs that enhance the natural landscape while meeting client objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for landscape architecture, extensive technical expertise in design software, and a keen eye for detail to craft engaging, functional, and environmentally responsible golf course environments.
Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive golf course design concepts, integrating topographical analysis, environmental considerations, and client specifications.
- Utilize advanced CAD software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Rhino 3D, and MicroStation to create detailed plans, 3D models, and construction documentation.
- Produce hand-drawn sketches, renderings, and digital visualizations using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suite, and other graphic design tools to communicate design intent effectively.
- Conduct site visits for land surveying, land assessment, and landscape analysis to inform sustainable design solutions.
- Collaborate with civil engineers, horticulturists, landscape architects, and contractors to ensure seamless project execution from concept through construction.
- Prepare construction documentation including hardscape details, irrigation plans, and landscaping specifications aligned with sustainable design principles.
- Engage with prospective clients to propose and finalize design contracts.
Qualifications
- Skilled in CAD drafting (AutoCAD), construction documentation, rendering techniques, and hand-drawn illustration.
- Experience in project management including budgeting estimates and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- A passion for landscape architecture with an emphasis on innovative landscaping solutions for golf courses.
