We are excited to partner with a top manufacturer in Grove City, OH in their search for a skilled CNC PROGRAMMER to join their team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in MasterCam and responsible for creating, optimizing, and refining machining programs for both 4- and 5-axis horizontal and vertical machining centers. Reporting directly to the Machining Manager, this role plays a crucial part in exceeding production goals, on-time delivery, quality standards, and workplace safety. This is an ONSITE position with a standard schedule of Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm.
- Interpret blueprint drawings, CAD models, GD&T requirements, and customer specifications to determine the best machining strategies
- Choose suitable tooling, cutting parameters, and workholding techniques to enhance precision and reduce cycle times
- Implement process improvements through toolpath optimization, tooling enhancements, and standard programming practices
- Create, update, validate, and optimize CNC programs for 4- and 5-axis HMCs/VMCs
- Collaborate closely with machinists, engineers, and production leaders to validate programs and ensure smooth setup on the shop floor
- Perform test runs, troubleshoot programming issues, toolpath errors, and post-processor adjustments
- Maintain program documentation, revision control, and organized file management
- Assist with fixture design considerations to improve manufacturability and repeatability
- Complete any other duties as assigned
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Setup Machinist
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a CNC Programmer using MasterCam or similar CAD/CAM software
- Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, 3D CAD models, and GD&T
- Broad knowledge of CNC machines, tooling, workholding, and various metal types
- Familiarity with G & M code for multiple brand controls; preference given to those with Fanuc experience
