About the position
Magnum Staffing is seeking a customer-focused Level 1 IT Support Technician to provide technical support help for our Dallas office. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys phone-based user support, takes an above-and-beyond approach to service, and is eager to learn. This position will serve as the primary lead for new hire onboarding, including imaging computers/phones, white‑glove workstation setup, and shipping equipment via FedEx. When onboarding tasks are complete, the employee will support the IT team with phone support and working in the IT Helpdesk.
The successful candidate is a self-starter who can follow documentation and checklists, is willing to help wherever needed, and demonstrates strong growth and leadership potential within IT operations.
Type: Full-Time | Open to onsite 6:30-3:30 or 7:00-4:00 or 8:00-5:00pm
Payrate is DOE (Depending on Experience)
What You’ll Do
- Onsite Support
- Set up, configure, and ship workstations and IT equipment for new hires
- Help with administrative IT tasks
- Maintain IT equipment organization and inventory
- Helpdesk Support
- Provide remote first-level support for laptops, desktops, printers, and peripherals
- Troubleshoot basic hardware, software, and connectivity issues
- Support users with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive)
- Assist with password resets, MFA, and access issues
- Document issues and resolutions in the ticketing system
- Escalate complex issues to higher-level support as needed
What We’re Looking For
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- 0–2 years of IT support or service desk experience
- Basic knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365
- Comfort working on the phone and interacting with employees
- Ability to follow processes and document work clearly
- Ability to lift and move standard IT equipment
