Position Overview
Our client is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design and execution of electrical systems for a diverse portfolio of commercial and institutional projects. This individual will serve as a technical leader, managing projects from concept through construction while mentoring junior engineers and maintaining direct communication with clients, architects, and project stakeholders.

Responsibilities
- Lead the electrical design of commercial, institutional, healthcare, education, aviation, municipal, industrial, and mission-critical projects.
- Design complete electrical building systems including:
- Power distribution
- Interior and exterior lighting
- Lighting controls
- Emergency power systems
- Generator and UPS systems
- Fire alarm systems
- Low-voltage and specialty systems
- Prepare engineering calculations, specifications, and construction documents.
- Utilize Revit MEP and AutoCAD to develop coordinated design packages.
- Coordinate with mechanical, plumbing, structural, architectural, and technology disciplines.
- Attend client meetings, site visits, and construction coordination meetings.
- Review shop drawings, RFIs, submittals, and construction documentation.
- Ensure compliance with NEC, local building codes, and applicable industry standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and designers while providing technical guidance and quality control.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining schedules and budgets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain.
- 8+ years of electrical engineering experience within an MEP consulting environment.
- Strong knowledge of commercial building electrical systems.
- Proficiency in Revit MEP and AutoCAD.
- Experience designing power distribution, lighting, emergency power, and fire alarm systems.
- Strong understanding of applicable electrical codes and standards.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and client relationship skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced consulting environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with healthcare, K-12, higher education, aviation, commercial, municipal, or data center projects.
- Familiarity with SKM, Visual Lighting, COMcheck, or other electrical analysis software.
- Previous experience mentoring engineers and leading project teams.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering projects.
