Position Summary
Synteen is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our manufacturing facility, production equipment, electrical systems, and related facility systems. This position will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and improving electrical and electromechanical equipment throughout the facility.
The ideal candidate is a dependable, hands-on technician who can independently diagnose electrical issues, respond to equipment breakdowns, perform preventative maintenance, and work collaboratively with the maintenance and production teams.

Work Schedule
Synteen operates three shifts:
1st Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

2nd Shift: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM

The Electrical Technician must be willing to work a schedule that may vary based on production and maintenance needs. The position may require occasional overtime, weekends, holidays, or coverage on different shifts to support the operation.
Essential Responsibilities
Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical and electromechanical equipment throughout the facility.

Perform electrical maintenance and repairs on production machinery, motors, controls, sensors, switches, and related equipment.

Troubleshoot electrical circuits, control systems, and equipment failures using appropriate testing equipment.

Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, manuals, and technical documentation.

Install, repair, modify, and maintain electrical components and systems as needed.

Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on electrical and production equipment.

Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and production-related maintenance needs.

Identify recurring equipment problems and recommend corrective actions to improve reliability and reduce downtime.

Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, modifications, and start-ups.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, parts used, and equipment issues.

Follow established safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and other applicable electrical safety practices.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Work closely with production personnel, maintenance team members, and outside contractors when needed.

Support facility electrical systems and other maintenance needs as assigned.

Perform other duties and projects as assigned by management.

Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; technical training in electrical systems, industrial maintenance, or a related field preferred.

3–5 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance, manufacturing, or a related environment preferred.

Strong knowledge of electrical systems, controls, motors, sensors, and industrial equipment.

Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

Experience using electrical testing and diagnostic equipment.

Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

Ability to work independently and make sound decisions when diagnosing equipment issues.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance requests in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Ability to work flexible hours and adjust to changing production and maintenance requirements.

Ability to safely lift, carry, and maneuver tools, equipment, and materials as required by the position.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with PLCs, VFDs, motor controls, and industrial automation.

Experience with preventative maintenance programs.

Experience troubleshooting 120V, 240V, and 480V electrical systems.

Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

Electrical certification, technical degree, or trade-school training.

Familiarity with OSHA electrical safety requirements and NFPA 70E.

Work Environment
This position works primarily in a manufacturing environment and may involve exposure to moving machinery, electrical equipment, noise, heat, dust, and other typical manufacturing conditions. The technician may be required to work in confined spaces, at heights, or in other areas of the facility as necessary.
The work schedule may vary depending on production requirements, equipment breakdowns, maintenance projects, and facility needs. Employees may be assigned to 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift based on business and staffing needs.
Safety
Safety is a critical responsibility of this position. The Electrical Technician is expected to follow all company safety policies and procedures, properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE), and follow applicable electrical safety, lockout/tagout, and OSHA requirements.
