Locally owned and operated veterinary hospital, we have been open since 2016 and have gained a wonderful clientele. Our successful and growing hospital is looking for a veterinary assistant to join our small dedicated staff.
Paws At Play Veterinary Hospital is seeking a part-time team member to join our staff. This position is approximately 5–15 hours per week, with the possibility of additional hours as needed. The ideal candidate is dependable, has a positive attitude, and enjoys working with both animals and people. Veterinary experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right person who is eager to learn and has a genuine love for animals.
Job Requirements:
Willingness to cross-train as a receptionist/customer service representative
Availability to work two Saturdays per month.
Must be available to be scheduled between 9am-6pm on Mondays and Fridays.
Strong communication and teamwork skills. Reliable, professional, and willing to learn

*Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Taking histories and providing initial client education
- Assisting with surgical procedures and patient monitoring
- Care of hospitalized patients
- Client communication
- Lifting and restraining patients
- Assisting in radiology
- Administering injections
- Placing IV catheters and obtaining blood samples
- Preparing cytologies
- Following opening/closing procedures for hospital
- Adhering to high standards of cleaning and sanitizing in a hospital environment
- Answering phones, proper phone etiquette

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $13.00 - $18.00 per hour
