- Providing emergency medical services in Edinburg, TX and School Districts throughout the valley
- Adhering to Adopted Policies and Procedures for the Department of Health Services (DHS)

- Performing other duties as assigned by your supervisor
Job Duties:
EMT Technicians are responsible for the care of patients in an emergency department. They will be trained in all procedures and assist with all tasks necessary to ensure that patients receive the highest quality care. The technician will be responsible for patient care, administrative duties, equipment maintenance, and all tasks associated with the position. The technician will also be trained in administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, scheduling appointments with insurance companies, preparing reports, and communicating with patients. The technician will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The technician will perform duties that may require exposure to violence or other emergencies. Other duties may include working closely with other staff members, answering phones, assisting front desk staff with daily tasks, performing security at work sites as needed, assisting in investigations and court appearances. The position is not limited to one location but requires travel within the service area.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Emergency Medical Technician or related position Required.
Education: High School Diploma or GED Required.
Licenses: Current CPR First Aid Certification required Required.
License: Certification from the American Heart Association or National Safety Councils for driver’s license - Must be 21 years of age or older Required.
Physical Demands: Sitting/Standing; use of hands; visual acuity; hearing; physical dexterity; reach, grasp, lift, carry, stoop, kneel or crouch for extended periods; reach up to 10 feet in height. Daily.

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
