Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Heavy Civil Concrete Finisher with 5–10 years of experience to join our growing construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing high-quality concrete finishing work on heavy civil and commercial construction projects. You will play a key role in ensuring structures are durable, safe, and built to the highest standards.
This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including bridges, highways, commercial developments, and other infrastructure projects that make a lasting impact on our communities.
Responsibilities
- Finish concrete surfaces using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to achieve smooth, level, and high-quality results.
- Install rebar and reinforcement materials according to project plans and specifications.
- Operate concrete mixers, pumps, and other construction equipment safely and efficiently.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Apply finishing techniques, including troweling, brooming, edging, and caulking.
- Assist with form setting, framing, and concrete structure preparation.
- Perform heavy lifting and physical labor throughout the workday.
- Work closely with crew members to maintain productivity and job site safety.
- Follow all company and OSHA safety guidelines and procedures.
- Travel to job sites as required.
Requirements
- 5–10 years of heavy civil concrete finishing experience required.
- Proven experience on heavy civil and commercial construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of concrete finishing techniques and construction practices.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Mechanical knowledge of tools, equipment, and machinery used in concrete work.
- Ability to safely perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks.
- Experience with rebar installation, form setting, masonry, plastering, stucco, and tile work is a plus.
- Experience operating heavy equipment, cranes, or forklifts is preferred.
- Valid driver's license required; CDL is a plus.
- Must be dependable, safety-oriented, and able to work in a team environment.
