American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an ICU/CCU position requiring 2 years of experience, SANE certification, and availability for float and call coverage at an off-site location.

ICU/CCU unit in an inpatient hospital setting
-
Cares for critically ill patients requiring pressors, sedation, thrombolytic therapy, electrolyte replacement, cardiac monitoring, cardiac drips, hemodynamic monitoring, and ventilator/BiPAP support
-
Patient ratio of 1:2
-
Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
-
Every 3rd weekend required, with potential for every other weekend

Holiday rotation required, generally 3 of the 6 major holidays

May float to Med/Surg as needed
-
Required to float or take call at an off-site location approximately 20 minutes from the main ER
-
Charting system: Meditech
-
No on-site parking costs
-
Active IN or compact RN license required
-
Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) certification required and must be in hand at time of consideration

Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required

Perform bedside procedures including chest tube placement, intubation, line placement, cardioversions, lumbar punctures, and thoracentesis
-
May assist with or perform conscious sedation

All requested time off must be disclosed upfront at the time of consideration

Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required

Candidates who were directly employed by the facility within the past 12 months are not eligible without prior written approval

Professional appearance required; any scrub color is acceptable
