Responsibilities
- Prepare fresh sandwiches and food items according to company standards, ensuring quality and presentation.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and cash handling with precision.
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders efficiently, and upselling menu items to enhance their experience.
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards by following proper handling procedures and cleanliness protocols.
- Manage cashier duties including processing payments, giving accurate change, and balancing cash drawers at the end of shifts.
- Assist with food prep tasks like slicing, assembling ingredients, and stocking supplies to support smooth restaurant operations.
- Support other restaurant functions such as bussing tables, cleaning work areas, and ensuring a sanitized environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation or quick service restaurants is preferred; culinary or café experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable.
- Strong time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and effective communication abilities.
- Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling and retail math calculations accurately.
- Experience in cashiering, serving, or retail environments—especially in fast-paced food industry settings—is advantageous.
