Position Overview
The Operations Transition Associate supports operational processes related to onboarding new financial professionals to Geneos Wealth Management, internal advisor transitions, and succession-related business changes.
This role combines operations support and workflow coordination and requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple ongoing tasks simultaneously. The successful candidate will support and coordinate operational workflows while ensuring required steps are completed accurately, efficiently, and in the proper sequence.
This is not a client-facing or sales role.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities in this role may include:
- Supporting and coordinating operational workflows related to onboarding new financial professionals to the firm's Broker/Dealer and RIA platforms, internal advisor transitions, and succession-related business changes.
- Updating internal books and records to reflect advisor and account changes.
- Processing advisor and account updates with clearing firms and direct product companies.
- Preparing, organizing, and maintaining transition-related documentation and tracking records.
- Coordinating with internal team members to help ensure required workflow steps are completed in the appropriate sequence.
- Compiling, reviewing, and maintaining data using Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and tracking tools.
- Preparing and modifying documents using Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat, including creating and maintaining fillable PDF forms and document templates.
- Learning and following established operational procedures and workflows.
QualificationsWhat You Bring
- Two or more years of experience in the financial services industry, such as a Broker/Dealer, Registered Investment Advisor (RIA), Registered Representative's office, Clearing Firm, Mutual Fund Company, Variable Annuity Company, or similar financial services operations environment.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage structured processes and multiple ongoing tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including the ability to organize, manipulate, and maintain data accurately.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat, including the ability to create, modify, and maintain documents and fillable PDF forms.
- Ability to learn new systems and procedures in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively in both in-office and remote environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid FINRA securities licenses Series 6 or Series 7 required.
- Experience working with advisor transitions, account transfers, operations processing, or books and records maintenance is highly desirable.
- Experience with Pershing NetX360, Fidelity Wealthscape, or similar financial services platforms is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
Geneos offers a hybrid work environment following completion of the training period, with employees working in the office two days per week and remotely the remaining days.
The expected starting salary range for this position is $48,000–$58,000 annually, depending on experience and licensing.

Additional Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Position is subject to fingerprinting, background screening, and credit review.
- Ability to work a set Monday through Friday schedule during market hours.
- Ability to commute to the office for required in-office workdays.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
