Primary Duties
1. Provides support and assistance with analysis and evaluation of procedures, processes, records, risks and related controls for sufficiency and effectiveness. Areas of focus include pipeline safety, occupational safety, environmental and other areas relevant to key company processes, activities, and assets.
2. Manages, schedules, and assists/conducts panel discussions/interviews with internal stakeholders. Documents and distributes tracking reports to Quality Assurance management on a routine basis.
3. Collects and tracks data as appropriate to assessments being conducted.
4. Assists with the identification of potential or actual gaps and works with Quality Assurance Team and internal stakeholders on the process for timely completion of assessments; draft and monitor continuous improvement plans (CIP) from inception to completion.
5. Supports Quality Assurance Team to prepare for regulatory agency inspections and compliance activities related to 49 CFR 190-199 and state specific pipeline safety regulations.
Minimum Requirements:
Educational/Experience Level:
1. Bachelor's degree in a technical or a related field and three years quality assurance or industry related experience in operations or regulatory compliance; or
2. A general educational knowledge normally acquired through a high school diploma or a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) and five years quality assurance or industry related experience in operations or regulatory compliance.
Communication Skills:
Ability to interact and work with multiple departments across the enterprise, as well as external stakeholders.
Ability to read and interpret federal and state regulations as it relates to enterprise procedures and processes; Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) familiarity is a plus.
Numeric Skills:
Requires the ability to perform algebraic, trigonometric, and geometric operations and/or moderately complex statistical and/or accounting methods.
Computer Skills:
Requires an advanced knowledge of various software applications for creating complex documents, reports, and graphics.
Work Conditions:
Works predominantly in an office environment and occasionally in an outdoor environment.
Some overnight travel may be required. Requires occasionally performing activities including, but not limited to, bending, stooping, grasping, reaching, twisting, turning and/or lifting.
