Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation by chopping, assembling, and portioning ingredients according to recipes and standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, bussing tables, and sanitizing workstations
- Support cooking activities under supervision, ensuring timely delivery of quality dishes
- Handle food safely by following proper handling procedures and adhering to food safety regulations
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and transactions
- Provide excellent guest services by responding promptly to customer requests and ensuring a positive dining experience
- Assist with banquet and special event setups, including serving and clearing tables as needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential
- Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety standards
- Experience with cooking, food preparation, and kitchen operations is highly desirable
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and perform physical tasks required in a busy kitchen setting
- Hospitality or hotel experience is advantageous but not mandatory; a passion for guest service is key
- Looking for full time availability with Weekend availability a must!
