About Legnetix
Legnetix builds modern back office software for the next generation of tolling. Our platform serves state DOTs, tolling authorities, and commercial operators, and covers the full back office: commercial, operational, image review, customer service, and analytics. We are headquartered at 284 W Palmetto Park Rd, Suite 201, Boca Raton, FL 33433.
About the role
The Operations Associate keeps the daily back office running. Transactions flow in continuously, and a portion of them need a person: an exception to clear, an image to review, a file that did not balance, a status that needs correcting. This role handles that work, documents how it gets done, and helps turn the repeatable parts into standard procedure.
This is a good fit for someone early in an operations career who wants exposure to a full transaction lifecycle rather than one narrow slice of it. You will see the transaction from ingestion through billing, payment, and dispute.
What you will do
- Work daily exception and error queues, research the cause, resolve what you can, and escalate what you cannot with a clear write-up.
- Perform manual image review: confirm or correct license plate reads flagged by automated recognition, applying defined quality standards consistently.
- Support account and vehicle workflows, including approvals, status changes, and data corrections, with a full audit trail on every action.
- Reconcile daily transaction, payment, and settlement files, and flag variances with supporting detail.
- Prepare recurring operational reports for internal review and agency reporting, and investigate anything that looks off before it gets sent.
- Track open items with vendors and partners, and follow up until they close.
- Test new platform releases in the operational areas you own, and report defects with reproduction steps.
- Keep process documentation current as procedures change, and propose changes when a procedure is creating more work than it saves.
- Support the customer service team with account research and transaction history on escalated cases.
What you need
- 2 or more years in operations, back office processing, billing, claims, collections, or data processing.
- Comfort with high-volume, detail-heavy work, and the consistency to hold quality across a full shift.
- Working Excel skills: filtering, sorting, pivot tables, lookups, and basic reconciliation.
- Clear written communication. Much of this job is explaining what happened and what you did.
- The discipline to follow a defined procedure exactly, and the judgment to raise a hand when the procedure is wrong.
- Authorization to work in the United States and the ability to work on-site in Boca Raton.
Good to have, not required
Tolling experience is a plus, not a requirement. We are looking for operational rigor first.
- Background in tolling, transportation, payments, insurance claims, or utility billing.
- Exposure to license plate review, ALPR, or another image-based review workflow.
- Basic SQL, or experience building reports in Power BI or a similar tool.
- Experience working to a daily production target or a contractual SLA.
- Experience at a startup or small company where the role changes as the business grows.
- Conversational or fluent Spanish.
First 90 days
- Days 1 to 30. Learn the transaction lifecycle and the platform modules you will work in. Shadow existing processes and start clearing routine queues.
- Days 31 to 60. Own your queues independently. Take over one recurring report end to end.
- Days 61 to 90. Document two processes you now own, and propose one improvement to each.
Why this role exists
We are building the operational know-how for tolling in house rather than buying it from a vendor. This hire is early enough to shape how the daily operation runs, with direct access to leadership and to the product team.
How we work
Small team, real ownership, and short paths between a problem and the person who can fix it. We write things down. We measure what we run.
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
