Tuxedos and Tennis Shoes Catering | DSquared Hospitality
The Pastry Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality pastries, desserts, baked goods, and other pastry components for Tuxedos and Tennis Shoes Catering events. This position works closely with the Culinary Team to deliver exceptional food and memorable guest experiences while maintaining the highest standards of quality, consistency, and presentation.
The ideal candidate is passionate about pastry, takes pride in their work, has strong attention to detail, and understands that great food is only part of great hospitality. Prepare pastries, desserts, baked goods, and other pastry items according to recipes and production standards.

Maintain consistent quality, flavor, portioning, and presentation.

Assist with cakes, cookies, tarts, pies, mousses, creams, fillings, sauces, garnishes, and plated desserts.

Follow production schedules and prioritize tasks to meet event deadlines.

Assist with plating, decorating, portioning, and finishing desserts for events.

Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area throughout the shift.

Properly label, date, store, and rotate ingredients and finished products.

Follow all food safety, sanitation, and personal hygiene standards.

Minimize food waste through proper preparation, storage, and utilization of ingredients.

Communicate effectively with Culinary Leadership and fellow team members regarding production needs and event details.

Support fellow team members and contribute to a positive, respectful kitchen environment.

Respond to changing event needs and assist with other kitchen responsibilities as needed.

Previous professional pastry, baking, or culinary experience preferred.

Culinary or pastry education is a plus.

Knowledge of basic baking and pastry techniques.
