Job Summary
GoodnightPa Bar & Social is seeking a reliable, energetic, and customer-focused Food Prep & Café Associate to join our team. This position plays a key role in preparing and serving our breakfast and lunch menu while helping create a welcoming experience for our guests.
Unlike a traditional restaurant kitchen, our menu is built around high-quality pre-cooked food items that are reheated and finished using a TurboChef Tornado oven. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys food service, takes pride in cleanliness and organization, and thrives in a fast-paced café environment.
The Food Prep & Café Associate will assist with food preparation, order assembly, coffee service support, inventory organization, and maintaining the highest standards of food safety and sanitation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble breakfast and lunch menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Operate a TurboChef Tornado oven to heat and finish sandwiches, quesadillas, baked goods, and other menu offerings.
- Portion ingredients and prepare food items for daily service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all food preparation areas.
- Ensure food is stored, handled, and served in accordance with food safety regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels and notify management when supplies need to be reordered.
- Assist with receiving and organizing food deliveries.
- Support coffee service by restocking supplies, preparing basic café items, and assisting guests when needed.
- Maintain a clean dining area and ensure guests receive prompt and friendly service.
- Perform opening and closing duties as assigned.
- Follow all company policies, health regulations, and sanitation procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous food service, café, deli, restaurant, or kitchen experience preferred.
- Food Handler Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Positive attitude and strong customer service skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
Preferred Experience
- Coffee shop or café experience.
- Food preparation and food handling experience.
- TurboChef or commercial kitchen equipment experience.
- Customer service or hospitality experience.
Schedule
- Morning and afternoon shifts available.
- Weekend availability required.
- Full-time and part-time positions available.
