Be the First Smile Patients See
At TMJ & Sleep Disorders of Michigan, we help people who have often spent years searching for answers — chronic headaches, jaw pain, poor sleep — finally find relief. Many arrive frustrated and exhausted. The person who greets them sets the tone for everything that follows.
That's you.
We're looking for a Patient Concierge to be the warm, welcoming heart of our front office. This isn't a typical “front desk” job. We run a high-touch, concierge-style practice where every patient is treated like a guest — and we need someone whose natural warmth, compassion, and people skills make that experience real from the very first phone call.
Who We Are
We're a family healthcare legacy dating back to 1923 — over a century of caring for West Michigan, now spanning four generations. Our TMJ and sleep practice is led by Dr. Jerry Mulder, a Fellow of the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain, alongside Dr. Allyson Mulder, DMD — one of the few practices in the country with dual AACP Fellows across two generations.
Our team is close-knit, bubbly, genuinely friendly, and deeply compassionate. We laugh a lot, we care hard, and we celebrate each other's wins. Culture fit matters to us as much as any line on a resume.
What You'll Do
- Warmly welcome every patient — in person, by phone, and through our patient communication platform
- Guide new patients through their journey, from initial virtual consultation to their comprehensive diagnostic appointment and finally their graduation to being symptom free!
- Schedule and coordinate appointments, keeping our providers' days running smoothly
- Help patients and their families feel informed and comfortable with next steps, including scheduling deposits and financing options
- Communicate with empathy — many of our patients have been living with pain for years, and your reassurance matters
- Keep the front office organized, polished, and running like clockwork
- Collaborate with our treatment coordinators and clinical team as one seamless unit
Who You Are
- A genuinely warm, upbeat people person — you light up a room and make strangers feel like friends
- Compassionate and patient, especially with people who are anxious, in pain, or navigating a big health decision
- Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented — you don't let things slip through the cracks
- A confident, clear communicator on the phone and in person
- Comfortable learning new software and technology
- Professional and polished in how you present yourself and the practice
Experience We'd Love (But Will Train the Right Person)
- Medical or dental front office experience is a big plus
- Hospitality or luxury service backgrounds (hotels, spas, fine dining, aesthetics) translate beautifully to what we do
- Above all: great people skills and a great personality. If you're the person friends describe as “the friendliest human they know,” we want to meet you — we'll teach you the rest.
Why You'll Love Working Here
- Four-day work week — Monday through Thursday, with three-day weekends every week
- Competitive pay: $18–$23 per hour, based on experience
- Bonus opportunities at every level — weekly, monthly, and yearly bonuses that reward great work
- 401(k) with employer matching after your probationary period
- Dental coverage included — you'll be cared for by the same family of practices our patients trust
- PTO plus paid holidays
- A positive, supportive team culture where kindness is the norm
- Meaningful work — you'll watch patients transform as they finally get relief
