Position Summary
The Business Development Manager is responsible for generating new business, maintaining strong client relationships, and driving revenue across commercial and multifamily portfolios. This role includes outbound prospecting, onsite visits, ERP/MSA discussions, and consistent CRM activity tracking. This position requires accurate and timely activity management in Proven CRM to track leads, tasks, and pipeline reporting. This role plays a key part in developing Emergency Response Plans (ERP) and Master Service Agreements (MSA) with multifamily and commercial clients. The BDM ensures a smooth handoff to operations and supports client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development and Outreach
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through outbound calls, networking, and lead generation.
- Make 50 fresh contacts per week, including quality assurance visits, face‑to‑face cold calls, LinkedIn outreach, cold emails, and phone calls.
- Conduct 5 new business meetings per week focused on discovery, ERP discussions, or advancing the sales cycle.
- Attend 2 networking events per week such as BOMA or Apartment Association events.
- Follow new leads triggered by fire notifications and update internal trackers.
Sales Targets
- Engage customers within 45 days to qualify for credit.
- Secure 2 ERP or MSA discussions per month.
- Meet with clients to understand mitigation needs and recommend appropriate services.
- Close sales and ensure smooth transition to the project team.
Collaboration and Handoff
- Complete the New Handoff: Sales to Project Manager Google Form with correct legal entity information.
- Send welcome emails to new clients and introduce the Project Manager through CRM.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Estimators, and Superintendents to ensure expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle.
Client Relationship Management
- Maintain detailed records of sales activities and client interactions in Proven CRM.
- Follow up after services to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
- Send email surveys and request Google reviews to gather feedback and improve service offerings.
Professional Development
- Stay current on industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer needs.
- Attend weekly sales meetings.
- Maintain professional appearance and adhere to company dress code.
Qualifications
- 3 or more years of business development or account management experience
- Experience in multifamily, commercial services, restoration, or construction
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
- CRM proficiency (Proven, HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar)

Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- Local travel within the assigned market, with occasional statewide travel only during major disaster events when additional support is required.
