HVAC/Maintenance Technician (Entry-Level)

We’re looking for a newly graduated or certified HVAC/Maintenance Technician to join our team and help keep our convenience store locations running smoothly. This is a great opportunity for someone beginning their career in HVAC and facility maintenance who is eager to learn, develop hands-on skills, and grow within a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate will have technical education or certification in HVAC, maintenance, or electrical systems, along with a strong work ethic and willingness to troubleshoot and assist with a wide range of facility maintenance tasks.
This position involves regular travel throughout the Sarasota metro and surrounding areas to support store operations and ensure facilities remain safe, efficient, and compliant with company and regulatory standards. This role may also require occasional after-hours or weekend work for emergency repairs. Work will be performed both indoors and outdoors in varying environmental conditions.
What You’ll Do
- Assist with routine and emergency maintenance on HVAC systems, refrigeration units, and electrical components.
- Support troubleshooting and repair of lighting, power distribution, and control systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance inspections and maintain service logs for assigned equipment.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests to minimize downtime and support store operations.
- Assist with basic plumbing, fuel dispenser, and facility equipment maintenance as needed.
- Follow all OSHA safety regulations and company maintenance procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of materials used and maintenance work completed.
- Participate in equipment upgrades and energy efficiency initiatives.
- Learn from experienced technicians and continue developing technical skills.
What We’re Looking For
- Recently graduated from an HVAC or technical training program, or newly HVAC certified.
- Basic understanding of HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Strong troubleshooting aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to read equipment manuals, diagrams, and work orders.
- Good communication and time management skills.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Willingness to travel regularly throughout the Sarasota metro and surrounding areas.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work in varying weather conditions.
- Availability for occasional after-hours or weekend emergency calls.
Education and Experience
- HVAC Certification or completion of an HVAC technical program required.
- EPA Certification preferred.
- Previous maintenance or mechanical experience is a plus but not required.
- Commercial kitchen equipment experiences preferred but not required.
- Convenience store experience is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
