Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Injection Molding Process Technician to support production operations at a plastics manufacturing facility in Easton, PA. The technician will be responsible for machine setup, process adjustments, start-ups, changeovers, and troubleshooting to maintain consistent production and part quality.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with injection molding machines, process parameters, tooling, and quality inspection, along with the ability to quickly identify and resolve production issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and prepare injection molding machines for production runs.
- Perform machine start-ups, shutdowns, and mold changeovers.
- Adjust process parameters to maintain stable production and consistent part quality.
- Monitor machine performance and respond to process abnormalities during production.
- Troubleshoot machine, tooling, material, and process-related issues.
- Inspect molded parts for defects and make appropriate process adjustments.
- Record process settings, production information, quality results, and other required documentation.
- Perform routine equipment and process checks.
- Work closely with Quality and Maintenance teams to resolve production issues.
- Assist with training and supporting machine operators on proper production procedures.
- Identify opportunities to reduce scrap, improve cycle times, and increase production efficiency.
- Follow all company safety, housekeeping, and production procedures.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of hands-on injection molding experience, preferably in a production manufacturing environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong injection molding troubleshooting skills.
- Working knowledge of injection molding machine setup and process adjustments.
- Ability to identify and correct common molding and part-quality issues.
- Experience with quality inspection and defect identification.
- Ability to read and document process settings and production data.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Pay: $41,000.00 - $56,000.00 per year
