American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical - Surgery Trauma unit position at a high-acuity Level 1 trauma center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of specialty experience and Epic proficiency.

Position is based in a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center

Unit: 6A - Surgery Trauma (Medical/Surgical)

Common diagnoses include spinal/neuro trauma, gunshot wounds, quadriplegia, and paraplegia
-
12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week
-
Travelers are expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
-
Block scheduling is generally not approved
-
No on-call requirements

Epic EMR experience required

Active RN license — GA state or Compact license required

Current BLS certification required
-
Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience required

Experience in high-volume, high-acuity trauma environments required — candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered

Demonstrated ability to manage critical, fast-paced trauma cases

Epic EMR proficiency required

Provide direct nursing care to complex surgical and trauma patients, including spinal/neuro, gunshot wound, and mobility-impaired populations

No RTO (time off requests) will be approved for this assignment
