Raise is hiring an experienced Welder for a contract position with one of our leading manufacturing clients in Austin, TX. This onsite role is ideal for a welder with hands-on MIG and TIG experience who takes pride in precision work and safety-first practices. This is a contract-to-hire role and opportunities for overtime are there!
PAY: $23.00 – $27.50 per hour
JOB TYPE: Contract, Onsite
SHIFTS:
- M-F 6am – 4pm
- M-F 4pm – 2am
- Fri to Mon - 6am – 4pm
- Fri to Mon - 4pm – 2am
What You'll Do
- Safely operate welding equipment and perform basic welding operations
- Read work orders, blueprints, and sketches to determine the correct weld type based on job specifications
- Perform welding and assembly tasks using standard welding equipment
- Plan and execute weld setups, selecting appropriate filler materials for each job
- Perform welding and cutting operations as needed
- Conduct visual and dimensional inspections to verify work meets specifications
- Support internal customers with a strong customer service mindset
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and ensure proper handling of tools, equipment, and stock
- Follow all departmental and site safety requirements
What We're Looking For
- 1–2 years of welding experience
- MIG and TIG welding experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and written/verbal instructions
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and team-oriented
