Responsibilities
- Supervise morning food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure quality standards are met consistently.
- Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste using systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Oversee cash handling procedures during shift changes, ensuring accuracy and accountability.
- Train and develop staff members in food safety, proper food handling, customer service, and operational procedures.
- Lead shift management by coordinating team schedules, assigning tasks, and ensuring smooth service flow during busy morning hours.
- Enforce health and safety regulations to maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment aligned with food safety standards.
- Collaborate with front-of-house teams to deliver seamless customer experiences and resolve any service issues promptly.
- Conduct staff interviews and participate in hiring processes to build a skilled and motivated team.
- Implement food production processes for catering, banquets, or special events as needed.
- Support restaurant management in budgeting efforts and cost control initiatives to optimize profitability.
Experience
- Proven supervising experience within quick service or fast-food restaurants, ideally with casual or fine dining backgrounds.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary practices, and kitchen management tools such as Aloha POS or Micros POS systems.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in managing teams, training staff, and fostering a positive work environment.
- Experience with inventory control, food safety protocols, and cash handling procedures.
- Previous roles involving shift management in a hospitality or restaurant setting are highly desirable.
- Familiarity with hotel or catering environments can be an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate team members and ensure high standards of customer service.
