Job Site Superintendent
Job Summary
Join our dynamic construction team as a Job Site Superintendent and take the helm of our on-site operations. We are looking for an energetic leader to ensure every project is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. As the primary on-site point of contact, you will coordinate daily operations, empower teams of skilled tradespeople, and drive project success through proactive management, detailed planning, and a true passion for construction excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Site Leadership & Operations: Oversee all daily construction activities, supervise subcontractors, and foster a collaborative, highly productive team environment.
- Project Scheduling: Manage and coordinate schedules using construction management software. Ensure seamless coordination among multiple trades to hit key project milestones.
- Quality & Execution: Review and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to verify accuracy and ensure all work aligns with project scope and contractual obligations.
- Safety Enforcement: Champion our safety culture by strictly enforcing OSHA regulations, federal safety standards, and internal safety protocols.
- Budgeting & Cost Control: Monitor project progress, manage change orders, and utilize online tools to track budgets and adjust plans as necessary to meet deadlines.
- Problem-Solving: Leverage your extensive on-site experience to troubleshoot issues proactively, minimizing delays and disruptions.
- Site Administration: Maintain comprehensive documentation, including daily logs, incident reports, safety records, and quality control inspections.
Requirements
- Experience: Proven track record in construction management with significant experience overseeing large-scale, on-site projects.
- Leadership: Demonstrated supervising experience managing teams in a fast-paced environment; strong leadership and motivational skills are essential.
- Technical Proficiency: Expert ability to read, interpret, and execute blueprints, schematics, and technical construction drawings.
- Safety Knowledge: Deep understanding of federal construction safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a secure work environment.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and project managers.
- Travel: Willingness to travel and stay in project cities during the work week.
