Position Overview
Platinum Security, Inc. is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Unarmed Vehicle Patrol Officer to service multiple client sites throughout South San Diego. This overnight position is ideal for officers who prefer independent work, structured routines, and consistent hours.
As a Patrol Officer, you will be responsible for conducting scheduled site checks, performing parking enforcement, completing lock/unlock procedures, and documenting scan tours using company-provided technology. Officers will operate a company vehicle during patrol operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct routine vehicle patrols across multiple client sites
- Perform parking enforcement, including issuing warnings when applicable
- Complete lock checks, locking/unlocking buildings or gates as required
- Conduct scan tours using company-provided devices
- Respond to on-site issues, suspicious activity, or safety concerns in assigned areas
- Maintain clear, professional communication with the dispatch team and supervisors
- Complete accurate, detailed Daily Activity Reports (DARs) and incident reports
- Provide excellent customer service to clients and site personnel
Physical Requirements
This role involves frequent movement in and out of a patrol vehicle as well as periodic on-foot checks. Officers must be able to:
- Drive for extended periods between sites
- Walk and stand for moderate durations during inspections
- Work in both indoor and outdoor environments, including varying weather conditions
- Maintain alertness and situational awareness throughout the shift
Qualifications
- Valid California Guard Card (required)
- CPR Certification (required)
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record (required for company vehicle use)
- 3+ year of security experience required
- 2+ years of vehicle patrol required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions
- Professional appearance and demeanor
