Wellsential Health is looking for an experienced and compassionate Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support our Director of Nurses in leading our care team and delivering high-quality, resident-centered care in a skilled nursing setting.
What You’ll Do:
- Support the daily operations of the nursing department and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Partner with the DON to oversee clinical staff, optimize schedules, and ensure proper staffing coverage across shifts
- Help implement and monitor quality assurance initiatives and care improvement plans
- Assist in managing resident care, staff training, audits, documentation, and on-call coverage
- Build strong relationships with residents, families, staff, and physicians to ensure coordinated, compassionate care
- Jump in to support assessments, care planning, or compliance reviews as needed
What You Bring:
- Current RN or LVN license in the state of Texas
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a skilled nursing facility
- Strong leadership, communication, and organization skills
- RUG certification preferred (not required)
- Passion for mentoring clinical teams and enhancing quality of care
