Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitor to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers.
- Handle various chemical agents safely for cleaning and sanitation purposes in accordance with chemical handling safety procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness by dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and disinfecting surfaces regularly.
- Manage custodial supplies inventory and ensure proper storage of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
- Assist with light maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or residential painting to support overall facilities upkeep.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during heavy lifting and manual handling activities to prevent injuries.
- Support facilities maintenance by reporting any damages or safety hazards promptly to ensure a secure environment for all occupants.
Requirements
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and proper use of cleaning equipment including floor buffers.
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely while adhering to chemical handling safety procedures.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks while maintaining safe lifting practices.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for managing supplies and cleaning schedules.
- Customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when needed.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting is a plus.
