Georgetown Paper Stock is looking for a welder to be part of our team. The welder position will work out of our Rockville plant.
RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
- Welding and Fabrication: Joining metal components using specialized equipment, including Stick (SMAW) methods. Fabricate steel components for hoppers, containers, plant machinery, trailers etc.
- Quality Control: Inspecting welds for accuracy, strength, and compliance with safety standards and project specifications.
- Equipment Maintenance: Setting up, operating, and performing maintenance on welding machines, cutting torches, and power tools.
- Safety Compliance: Following safety protocols, including wearing protective gear (masks, gloves, shields) to prevent accidents. Adhere to all OSHA and company-specific health and safety regulations.
- Repair Work: Dismantling, cutting, and repairing broken metal products and machinery. Repair, paint, and maintain commercial containers (such as roll-offs, open tops, compactors) and vehicle assemblies.
- Orders parts and pick up parts
QUALIFICATIONS AND Requirements
Must be willing to work in an outside environment in all types of weather.
- Welding experience & relevant welding certification
- Works well under limited supervision

We are a family owned, 4th generation, business that has been in the industry since 1901. We recycle a broad array of materials ranging from papers to plastics to metals and are experienced working with organizations of all sizes and industries. We currently operate two plants (in Rockville, MD and Baltimore, MD) where our recyclables are processed.
