Our group owns and operates multiple full-service restaurants (including Jose Pepper’s and Cactus Grill) with more openings on the horizon. We’ve built our success on treating guests and team members with respect and kindness while delivering excellent Tex-Mex food and amazing service. Our restaurants see consistent sales growth every year, and we’re looking for strong leadership to keep that momentum going at our brand-new Cactus Grill in Lawrence.
Restaurant Manager Job Description
As Restaurant Manager of the new Cactus Grill in Lawrence, you will:
- Lead, hire, train, schedule, and develop a high-performing team across both Front of House and Back of House
- Manage labor costs, cost of goods, inventory, and daily operations to deliver fresh, safe, and profitable results
- Oversee health code standards, employee retention, and consistent execution in a high-volume environment
- Drive exceptional guest service and a positive team culture
- Work hands-on with the team to maintain a clean, energetic, and welcoming restaurant
This is a full-service Tex-Mex restaurant (not bar-heavy) featuring fresh classics, signature items, and a great margarita program.

Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of restaurant management experience in a high-volume, full-service environment
- Proven ability to manage people, labor, and financials (strong P&L understanding)
- Positive, approachable, hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, busy restaurant
- Passion for team development and guest service
Schedule: Managers typically work 45–55 hours per week on average. We respect work-life balance and understand that life happens.
