Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Hardware Associate to join our team. Knowledge of industry related materials/applications (i.e. plumbing, electrical, feed, etc. is essential. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to customers as you assist with product selection, provide product demonstrations, and ensure a positive shopping experience.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating hardware products.
- Provide knowledgeable advice on product features and benefits to help customers make informed decisions.
- Utilize POS systems efficiently for processing transactions and managing inventory.
- Maintain the sales floor by restocking items and ensuring displays are well-presented.
- Address customer inquiries with professionalism and courtesy, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette when necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance the overall customer experience.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in related retail sales or construction is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus, along with experience in conducting product demos.
- A proactive attitude towards learning about new products and trends in the hardware industry.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
