Overview
EMC Aerospace is seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Agent to support procurement activities for aircraft components, materials, and services. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and experience sourcing and negotiating with suppliers.
Responsibilities:
- Source and procure aircraft parts, materials, and services.
- Request and evaluate supplier quotations.
- Negotiate pricing, delivery, and terms with vendors.
- Process purchase orders and monitor open orders.
- Maintain supplier relationships and identify new sources of supply.
- Coordinate with sales, production, and quality departments to meet customer requirements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation.
Qualifications:
- Previous purchasing, procurement, or aerospace experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of aircraft parts and aviation industry practices is a plus.
