Charter schools are seeking Certified Substitute Teachers who are dependable, professional, and ready to make a positive difference in the classroom. Certified Substitute Teachers provide instruction, supervision, and classroom support when the regular teacher is absent while helping students stay on track with their learning.
This position offers the flexibility to work across different grade levels, subject areas, and school settings. Substitute Teachers may work on a day-to-day basis or accept assignments that fit their availability. Candidates should be comfortable stepping into new classrooms, following lesson plans, managing student behavior, and maintaining a safe and productive learning environment.
Certified Substitute Teachers are eligible for a $500 sign-on bonus!
Responsibilities
- Follow lesson plans and classroom instructions provided by the regular teacher.
- Provide clear instruction and assistance to students as needed.
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and positive classroom environment.
- Supervise students throughout the school day, including transitions and other assigned activities.
- Manage classroom behavior using school-approved procedures and expectations.
- Take attendance and complete required classroom documentation.
- Keep students engaged and focused on assigned learning activities.
- Communicate professionally with school staff, teachers, and administrators.
- Follow school policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Report any classroom concerns or incidents to the appropriate school personnel.
- Complete other duties as assigned by school administration.
Qualifications
- Valid substitute teaching certification or permit, as required by state regulations.
- Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to different classrooms, grade levels, and teaching environments.
- Dependable attendance and a professional attitude.
- Ability to work independently while following school guidelines and lesson plans.
- Commitment to providing students with a positive and supportive educational experience.
