Our client in California is seeking an Urgent Care Physician Assistant for a 70-day assignment starting Oct 5, 2026. This role involves independently managing a high volume of high acuity urgent care cases, including comprehensive patient evaluations and various procedural skills. The schedule features weekend-focused shifts, with options for Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, or Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday rotations.
Responsibilities and Duties

Independently manage a wide range of urgent care cases in a fast-paced, high-volume, high-acuity environment.

Perform comprehensive patient evaluations.

Efficiently manage urgent care cases.

Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.

Perform laceration repair and suturing.
-
Conduct ingrown toenail removal.

Execute fracture evaluation and management.

Perform incision and drainage (I&D) procedures.
Additional Information

Board Certifications: Emergency Medicine, Family Nurse Practitioner Certification (FNP), or Urgent Care.

EMR: Epic (experience preferred).

Requirements: Significant hands-on clinical experience with several years in an emergency room or high-acuity urgent care setting.

On-site diagnostic services available: STAT laboratory testing, X-ray, CT scan, and Ultrasound.
