POSITION BENEFITS
Pay increases: The first pay increase occurs after six months if the employee passes the probationary period. Pay increases occur annually
thereafter, until top step is reached.

BASIC FUNCTION
Under the direction of the Director of Technology and CTE, provide day-to-day leadership and management of the Information Technology
Department's operational functions, including network infrastructure, cybersecurity operations, device management, help desk services, systems
administration, and data systems support. Serves as the secondary operational deputy for district technology services under the Director,
allowing the director to focus on strategic leadership, governance, and cross-department alignment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
Any combination equivalent to:
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year institution in information technology, computer science, or a closely related field;
Additional years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree;
Minimum three (3) to five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in network administration, systems engineering,
cybersecurity or related IT infrastructure roles;
Demonstrated experience in planning and leading technology projects, including system upgrades, migrations, or deployments involving
both on-premise and cloud-based environments.
Industry certifications (i.e. Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Microsoft MCSA/MCSE, Palo Alto, Security+, CISSP, CISA/M, etc.) highly desirable.

Examination: Applications may be screened to select the most qualified candidates. The examination may consist of: a) Written job knowledge
test (40% of total score), b) Structured oral interview (60% of total score). Some classifications require you to pass a physical examination. This
examination is at the district’s expense and the appointment is not assured until you have passed this examination. A practical/proficiency exam
may be administered which shall be pass/fail. Applicants must attain a passing score of 70% on each part of the examination in order to be
placed on the eligibility list. Should a large number of candidates pass the written exam, a higher passing score than 70% may be required to
