Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and detail-oriented individual to provide non-medical in-home support. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys providing companionship and assistance while maintaining a comfortable, safe environment for the client. A love for animals is a must, as there are pets in the home who are a central part of our daily life.
Key Responsibilities
- Companionship & Safety: Provide engaging conversation and monitoring to ensure client safety and well-being.
- Daily Support: Assist with "Activities of Daily Living" (ADLs) such as light meal preparation and light housekeeping.
- Pet Interaction: Basic interaction and comfort with household pets (feeding, letting them out, or simply being around them).
- Transportation: Occasional transportation to local appointments, errands, or social outings (mileage reimbursement provided).
- Medication Reminders: Providing verbal reminders for scheduled medications.
Requirements
- Pet-Friendly: Must be comfortable and experienced around pets.
- Reliable Transportation: Must have a valid Driver’s License, a clean driving record, and current auto insurance.
- Trustworthiness: Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and a patient, empathetic temperament.
- Experience: Previous caregiving experience (professional or personal) is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person.
