Yours Truly Cupcake is a full-service dessert catering company with busy retail operation located in the RINO neighborhood. We are looking for an enthusiastic, fast-paced individual to assist with our daily operations with a sense of urgency.
Position Overview
This person is responsible for high-volume production of baked items and other food products. This person will be responsible for production of cookie dough, cake batter, scooping cookie dough, filling cookie sandwiches and macarons, baking cookies and cupcakes, washing dishes, refilling supplies and robust cleaning. We are open from 10-5 Monday through Friday and 10-4 Saturday. Some Saturdays required.
Key responsibilities
- Producing large amounts of cupcakes, cookies, French macarons, and other baked items with little to no supervision
- Making frosting and fillings
- Washing dishes
- Maintain clean and tidy work space
- Ensuring all supplies are refilled and prepared for upcoming orders
- Completing daily, weekly and monthly checklists.
Requirements
- At least 6 months experience in a commercial kitchen or bakery setting.
- Knowledge of health hazards in food preparation and service
- Ability to read and execute recipes consistently and without supervision
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Must be detail oriented, organized, and have the ability to multitask.
- Must be flexible with a "can do" attitude and have the ability to remain professional under high-pressure situations
- Hardworking and efficient
- Enjoys working both solo and with a team
