Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring a friendly and professional atmosphere
- Schedule appointments efficiently, confirm upcoming visits, and manage appointment calendars using medical administrative support tools
- Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details, medical history, and personal data, maintaining accuracy and confidentiality
- Answer phone calls promptly, address patient inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate team members with clarity and professionalism
- Prepare and organize patient records, update medical files, and ensure all documentation complies with privacy regulations
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to facilitate smooth patient flow and timely communication of test results or follow-up instructions
- Assist with billing processes and payment collections as needed
Skills
- Proven experience in a medical office setting will be a plus.
- Experience in Epic system is a must.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients, providers, and staff
- Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while maintaining a positive attitude
- Prior experience in medical office administration or healthcare support roles is highly desirable
