We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Feed Mill Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with forklifts, and while not required, feed mill, manufacturing, or farming/agri-business experience is preferred. As a Feed Mill Operator, you will play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring the efficient manufacturing of feed, maintaining quality control, handling shipping and receiving, managing inventory, and performing equipment/plant maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other necessary equipment in the feed mill.
- Manufacture high-quality feed products in accordance with company standards.
- Ensure all products meet quality control guidelines.
- Oversee shipping and receiving processes, ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of materials and products.
- Manage inventory control, maintaining stock levels and performing routine audits.
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to inquiries and addressing concerns.
- Assist in plant and equipment maintenance to ensure optimal operation.
- Work as part of a team to meet production targets and deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of forklift experience required.
- Preferred experience in feed mill operations, manufacturing, or farming/agri-business.
- Positive attitude, excellent work ethic, and good employment history with a strong attendance record.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Mechanical ability and an interest in machinery are highly desirable.
Probationary Period:
The selected candidate will begin with a 90-day probationary period. After successful completion of training and meeting production and quality control standards, the individual will transition to permanent status.
Work Schedule:
- Typical workweek is 50 hours; consisting of 40 regular hours and 10 overtime hours.
- Overtime pay is provided for the additional 10 hours worked weekly.
Compensation:
- Competitive pay, with overtime compensation as applicable.
