The Substitute Teacher demonstrates flexibility, professionalism, and a heart for serving students while maintaining instructional continuity and upholding the school's biblical values, policies, and expectations.

Carry out lesson plans and instructional activities provided by the classroom teacher.
Foster a classroom environment that is safe, orderly, respectful, and conducive to learning.
Maintain classroom routines, procedures, and behavioral expectations consistent with Summit Christian Academy standards.
Demonstrate Christ-like love, patience, grace, and respect in all interactions with students, parents, faculty, and guests.
Supervise students throughout the school day, including arrival, dismissal, lunch, recess, and other assigned duties as needed.
Maintain accurate attendance records and communicate any concerns or significant classroom events to the appropriate administrator and classroom teacher.
Protect the confidentiality of students, families, and school information.
Follow all school policies, emergency procedures, safety protocols, and reporting requirements.
Utilize school technology and classroom resources appropriately.
Leave the classroom organized and provide notes regarding the day's activities for the returning teacher.
Be flexible and willing to accept assignments across grade levels or subject areas, when qualified.
Substitute Teachers work in a school environment serving students from Early Education through Grade 12. Assignments may vary by grade level, classroom setting, and subject area. Work requires flexibility, professionalism, and a servant's attitude while contributing positively to the overall culture of Summit Christian Academy.
