The 4 North Medical/Surgical Unit at Indian River Hospital sees a diverse population, offering medical attention for GI distress, respiratory issues, seizures and other symptoms. As an Assistant Nurse Manager on this team, you will help patients feel comfortable, at ease and supported while receiving treatment. With an emphasis on professional development and success, you will also encourage caregivers to enhance their skills and the patient experience through improvement initiatives and incentives 70% of your day will consist of administrative responsibilities such as attendance tracking, committee participation, m anaging caregiver scheduling, engagement retention and recruitment , while the other 30% will be focused on hands-on patient care. Here, you will be a constant resource for bedside caregivers through exemplifying leadership behaviors.

Physical Requirements:
- Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
- Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.
- Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range.
- Requires some exposure to communicable disease or bodily fluids.
- Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
