We are looking for a self-starter Service Technician for access control to deliver the desired customer service experience. The goal is to drive service success that improves customer satisfaction, maximizes customer retention and increases profitability.
The job consists of working with and troubleshooting issues with commercial and residential gate systems such as: US Automatic, LiftMaster, DKS, Apollo, High Security, Liner, Elite, and American Access. Other neccessary job tasks may include, but are not limited to: pulling wire; trenching; running conduit metal and pvc; setting posts for gates; and mixing cement for pads and posts.
The Technician is responsible for repairing, servicing, and installing security/access control products onsite at customer locations, ensuring the quality and timeliness of service calls.
Technicians should be able to work efficiently on their own with limited to no supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Provide service and customer support during field visits or dispatches
- Must have knowledge in gate operators and gate installation
- Manage all on-site installation, repair, maintenance and test tasks
- Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions
- Produce timely and detailed service reports
- Operate vehicle in a safe manner and use field automation systems
- Follow all company’s filed procedures and protocols
- Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organization
- Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations/briefings
- Build positive relationships with customers
Requirements:
- Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision
- Ability to meet consistent attendance
- Proven field service experience
- At least one year of gate/operator installation experience is preferred
- Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment
- English literacy
- Some Welding Experience
- Must have a clean driving record
Working Conditions
- Working outside in varying temperatures
- Occasional overtime depending on workload
- Prolonged periods of standing, bending, sitting, kneeling
- Traveling to areas in and surrounding DFW
Job is Monday thru Friday 7:30am - 5:30pm
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour
