Duties
- Prepare, cook, and plate a variety of menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation throughout all stages of food handling and preparation
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of orders and exceptional service quality
- Follow proper knife skills for efficient and safe food cutting techniques
- Support menu planning efforts by suggesting creative ideas and ensuring ingredient availability
- Help with catering events and special functions by preparing large quantities of food while maintaining quality
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings with strong kitchen experience
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Familiarity with dietary department practices and dietary aide experience is a plus
- Ability to execute meal preparation efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent knife skills for precise cutting, slicing, and dicing tasks
- Experience in menu planning and food industry standards to support innovative dish creation
- Strong understanding of food service operations, including catering and serving responsibilities
