Duties
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to ensure precise fabrication.
- Set up press brake machines, stamping presses, and fabrication tooling to meet production requirements.
- Use hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and quality of steel parts.
- Handle materials safely using forklifts and other warehouse equipment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist in assembly line processes by preparing steel components for welding, packaging, or further fabrication steps.
Skills
- Experience operating various manufacturing equipment such as press brakes, stamping presses, CNC mills, lathes, and welding tools.
- Knowledge of factory safety procedures and materials handling techniques including forklift operation.
- Mechanical aptitude combined with manufacturing experience in a fast-paced factory environment.
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements, calculations, and quality control assessments.
