This family in Floyds Knobs, Indiana is seeking a dependable and experienced full-time nanny to join their household and provide care for their three kids, ages 10, 8, and 6.
The family's youngest son has Down syndrome and autism. He is generally non-verbal, communicating with approximately 20 words, and requires support with daily routines, including eating and going to the bathroom. The family is specifically looking for a nanny with experience supporting children with autism and developmental differences. Patience, compassion, and a willingness to engage with his unique communication style are essential.
The kids are school-aged and active, and the nanny will play an important role in helping the family's daily routines run smoothly. Responsibilities will include school drop-offs and pickups, transportation to activities as needed, and providing attentive, engaging care before and after school. The family will provide a vehicle for all work-related driving.
The schedule is Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to approximately 5:00–5:15 p.m. The family offers guaranteed full-time hours, and during school hours, the nanny will assist with light household tasks to help support the household while the children are away.
The family also has two friendly cats.
The ideal candidate is reliable, proactive, experienced with autism, and excited to become a valued part of a supportive family for the long term.
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
