Delta Electro Power is seeking a reliable and customer-focused Shipping and Receiving Specialist to support our warehouse operations and provide local customer deliveries throughout Rhode Island and surrounding areas.
This hands-on position is responsible for receiving incoming materials, preparing outbound shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring timely delivery of parts, equipment, and materials to customers and job sites. The ideal candidate is organized, safety-conscious, and enjoys working both in the warehouse and on the road interacting with customers.

Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and condition.

Unload, organize, and stock inventory in designated warehouse locations.

Prepare orders for shipment, including packaging, labeling, and shipping documentation.

Coordinate outbound shipments with carriers and freight companies.

Process shipping and receiving transactions within company software systems.

Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts and inventory audits.

Investigate and resolve receiving discrepancies, damaged shipments, or missing items.

Safely operate company vehicles to deliver materials, parts, and equipment to customer locations and job sites.

Verify deliveries and obtain customer signatures when required.

Load and secure materials to prevent damage during transport.

Provide professional and courteous customer service during deliveries and pickups.

Assist with customer pickups at the warehouse and help load materials as needed.

Maintain delivery schedules and communicate delays or changes to customers and internal teams.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.

Assist with material handling and warehouse organization.

Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment safely and efficiently.

Support technicians, project managers, and sales personnel with material requests.

Follow all company safety policies and guidelines for OSHA.

Perform other duties as assigned.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, delivery driving, or logistics preferred.

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Ability to safely operate delivery vehicles and warehouse equipment.

Ability to obtain and maintain RI MEC Card

Ability to pass background checks for access to customer locations.

Forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain certification.

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

Basic computer skills and experience with inventory or shipping software preferred.

Materials are received, stocked, and delivered accurately and on time.
Inventory records remain organized and reliable.
