We are a busy, well-established private ophthalmology practice seeking an experienced Ophthalmic Technician to join our growing team. We are looking for a dependable, compassionate professional who is committed to delivering outstanding patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive patient workups, including medical and ocular histories

Measure visual acuity, intraocular pressure, and perform refractions

Conduct diagnostic testing, including OCT, visual fields, fundus photography, and other ophthalmic imaging

Assist the physician with minor in-office procedures and injections
-
Prepare patients before procedures and monitor them during recovery

Accurately document findings in the electronic medical record (EMR)

Educate patients regarding procedures, medications, and follow-up care

Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and clinical workflow

Qualifications
Previous experience as an Ophthalmic Technician required

COA or COT certification preferred but not required

Knowledge of ophthalmic diagnostic equipment and EMR systems

Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills

Friendly, professional attitude with excellent patient care skills
