Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Customer Service Representative (CSR) or Veterinary Assistant to join our compassionate veterinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in animal care and veterinary procedures, providing exceptional client service while supporting the clinical team. This role involves handling pet owners, managing medical collections, and assisting with various animal care tasks, ensuring a smooth and efficient clinic operation. Candidates with kennel experience, animal husbandry skills, and veterinary critical care knowledge are highly preferred. Responsibilities
- Greet clients and assist with appointment scheduling, check-in, and check-out processes
- Manage medical collections efficiently while maintaining patient confidentiality
- Support veterinary staff with laboratory procedures, sample collection, and aseptic techniques
- Maintain accurate records using veterinary terminology and ensure proper documentation of treatments
- Support laboratory testing processes and maintain equipment cleanliness according to aseptic standards
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all animal handling and clinical procedures
Experience
- Prior veterinary experience is required, including familiarity with veterinary terminology and clinical procedures
- Experience with medical collection processes in a veterinary setting is preferred
- Knowledge of laboratory techniques, animal restraint, and aseptic procedures is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of pet care practices including dog training and animal behavior management
- Previous exposure to veterinary critical care environments or laboratory settings will be considered an asset
