Description:
Vivalon is looking for a Special Needs Attendant for our Modesto Routes!
The attendant performs various tasks to support the driver in providing safe and proper transportation for our adult clients with disabilities. We provide full training and an excellent team-oriented work environment. Starting pay is $17.00/hr and will be a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours/week (Monday through Friday split shift schedule).

Successful candidates will be able to:
- Supervise and assist clients in transit.
- Assist the driver in the proper loading and unloading of passengers.
- Know the appropriate use of securing devices for safety restraints, wheelchairs, and seat belts.
- Demonstrate understanding and empathy for persons with disabilities.
- Enjoy working with people of all ages and be sensitive to their needs.
- Display professional behavior when working with clients, co-workers, and community members.
- Follow all health and safety rules, policies, and procedures.
- Report any client concerns to the driver and the appropriate management staff.
- This Safety Sensitive position requires the ability to pass a background check.
Requirements:
- Friendly & reliable plus excellent customer service skills and a desire to help others
- Valid California Driver's License or California ID Card
- Provide 2 professional references
- Pass a pre-employment background check, alcohol and drug screen, non-DOT physical and submit to random drug and alcohol testing consistent with federal law throughout employment
