Job Summary: Pomo Pumps is seeking to hire Cashiers for Pomo Pumps C-Store. Under the direction of the Store Manager the cashier will perform duties from processing sales on a POS system to stocking shelves in a fast pace environment. Excellent Customer Service Skills and Cash Handling experience is a must. Must have an outgoing friendly personality, works well with others. Ability to follow directions and have a flexible schedule days, nights, weekends and holidays. Maintain a clean and organized work environment inside and out. If you have retail / customer service experience.
Job Duties:
- Greet customers friendly and professionally
- Process cash, credit, debit and mobile payment transactions accurately
- Count and reconcile drawer cash at the beginning and ending of each shift
- Prepare and drop cash into safe when limits are reached
- Assist Staff into stocking shelves, rotating merchandise and marking prices
- Ensure cleanliness and maintenance to checkout areas
- Ensure that a register is staffed always when customers are present
- Adhere to all city, county, state and federal alcohol and tobacco regulations
- Verify identification for age restricted purchases as required by law
Requirements for the job:
- Read, understand and write the English Language at the 8th grade level
- Read and understand instructions for operating electronic cash registers and other equipment
- Must be able to stand for 8 or more hours at a time
- Must pass Background/Drug test
