Hangar 7 Aviation is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Aircraft & Ground Support Technician to join our team. This hands-on role is responsible for aircraft ground operations, aircraft detailing, facility maintenance, and ensuring our aircraft and passenger areas are always safe, clean, and presentation-ready. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering a first-class experience for our owners, charter clients, and flight crews.
Key Responsibilities:
Aircraft Ground Operations
- Safely tow, marshal, wing walk, and position aircraft in accordance with company procedures and safety standards.
- Ensure aircraft are properly chocked, secured, and ready following movement.
- Inspect ramp areas for Foreign Object Debris (FOD), hazards, and unsafe conditions before and during aircraft movement.
- Safely operate and inspect ground support equipment, reporting maintenance concerns as needed.
- Assist with aircraft arrivals, departures, fueling coordination, and other ground handling activities.
Aircraft Cleaning & Servicing
- Clean and detail aircraft interiors and exteriors using approved aviation products and procedures.
- Restock aircraft with beverages, catering, cabin supplies, and passenger amenities; verify aircraft are fully prepared for scheduled departures.
- Perform aircraft linen laundry and report damaged or missing items.
- Clean, detail, and maintain company and passenger vehicles to ensure they are clean and presentation-ready.
- Report cosmetic damage, missing equipment, or maintenance discrepancies.
Hangar & Facility Operations
- Complete daily opening and closing checklists for hangars and office facilities.
- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of hangars, ramps, offices, passenger lounges, conference rooms, kitchens, restrooms, and surrounding grounds.
- Restock facility supplies and maintain company equipment, including radios, golf carts, tablets, and other operational equipment.
- Operate facility maintenance equipment, including vacuums, leaf blowers, floor cleaning equipment, and pressure washers.
- Report facility maintenance issues and safety concerns promptly.
Team & Operational Support
- Complete department checklists and operational assignments accurately and on time.
- Maintain inventory of aircraft supplies, detailing products, and facility consumables.
- Support Flight Support, Maintenance, Flight Crews, and other departments with operational requests.
- Adapt quickly to changing flight schedules, operational priorities, and special projects.
- Other duties as assigned by management or senior leadership.
Customer Service
- Professionally assist passengers, flight crews, vendors, and visitors.
- Assist with passenger luggage and maintain clean, welcoming passenger areas.
- Deliver a professional, white-glove customer experience during every interaction.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequently bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, and reach overhead.
- Lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 80 pounds occasionally.
- Safely climb aircraft ladders and work on elevated platforms.
- Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, wind, and rain.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- One (1) year of experience in aviation, aircraft detailing, automotive detailing, facilities maintenance, hospitality, or a related field preferred.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a SIDA airport badge.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Flexible to work days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as operational needs require.
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
